The 2023 Toyota AFL Premiership season kicked off with plenty of excitement and nine young guns from Victorian footy were part of it, having each debuted in round one.

The players have spent years honing their skills through community football and pathway programs such as the Coates Talent League and are now ready to take on the best of the best in the elite game.

As these future stars take to AFL playing fields, it’s a reminder of the importance of grassroots football and the role local clubs play in players development.

The future of the AFL is bright and we can't wait to see what these promising youngsters will achieve in the seasons to come.

Congratulations to all clubs that have been part of the journey for the newest batch of AFL players.
