LOVE THE GAME, NOT THE ODDS

AFL Victoria is proud to partner with the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation because we love the game, not the odds.

We’re committed to supporting the Foundation’s Love the Game program to help increase community awareness about the risks associated with gambling and protect children from sports betting promotions.

In 2022, the gambling industry spent $309,204,000 on advertising in Australia (1). This is equivalent to 1,288,403 official AFL Sherrin match balls (2)  or 11,452,000 AFL match tickets (3) or enough to fill the MCG 114.5 times (4).

Alongside AFL Victoria, more than 600 sporting clubs, including Victoria’s 10 AFL teams, 11 leagues and commissions, and community clubs are Love the Game partners, demonstrating to young people that sport and betting don’t have to go together.
