The Energy Safe Victorian Blind Football League will commence its finals series this weekend with Semi-Finals to take place on Saturday 20 August at Action Indoor Sports Centre Tullamarine from 11:00am.

The first Semi-Final will see top of the table St Kilda play Hawthorn at 11:00am, before the Bulldogs take on Essendon at 12:15pm. The winners of the Semi-Finals will progress through to the Grand Final to be played on September 3.

Bulldogs Coach, Nicholas Pepper, said the team was excited about the finals but would approach the game as they would any other.

"We'll play to our strengths which are to involve all our players and give them a fair go. We're just taking the same approach to this game as we have this season. We play to have fun, try our best and see what happens!"

Semi-Finals - Saturday the 20th of August

  • 11:00am - St Kilda vs Hawthorn
  • 12:15pm - Bulldogs vs Bombers

In an action packed day for the league, the Semi-Final will be followed by the second of two Victoria vs Allies All-Star Games that showcases the leagues best talent.

Victoria won the first all star game 61 - 38 and captain Ned Brewer-Maiga was named as best-on-ground. If the second match is won by the Allies, two additional 10-minute halves will be played, to determine the winner of the VBFL All-Star Shield for 2022. In the unlikely situation that scores are level after these additional 20 minutes, play will continue until either team scores, at which point the final siren will sound.
