St Kilda and the Bulldogs will meet in a Grand Final for the second straight year when they play off for the 2022 Energy Safe Victoria Blind Football League Premiership Cup at 12:00pm on Saturday 3 September at Action Indoor Sports Tullamarine.

The Grand Final rematch was assured after both teams won through to the premiership decider with semi-final wins over the weekend. St Kilda defeated Hawthorn in a tight contest (49 - 47) whilst the Bulldogs won through in dominant fashion against the Bombers (122-80).

St Kilda claimed the 2021 premiership after they defeated the Bulldogs 135 - 71.

The Grand Final will be livestreamed via the AFL Victoria and Victorian Blind Football League Facebook channels.

St Kilda finished the 2022 season on top of the ladder, but captain Shannon Jones said it would be a tough game after what was one of the closest and most competitive ESV VBFL seasons so far.

"It's been one of the toughest years we've had opponent wise."

"We've had a new look team this year with a couple of new players that have come through the draft in Kate Aarons and Ross Patterson, and they've really stepped up this year."

"The Bulldogs are a really tough outfit and they base their game around speed, so stopping their momentum and playing possession footy is the way to stop them."

Bulldogs captain, Steve Obeid, said the clubs would be evenly matched after trading wins earlier in the season and shared his thoughts on some players who could have a big influence on the game.

"We got them in the first game that we played in the season, but then they beat us on the run back."

"They're a tough side to take on so it will be a great contest."

"Lachlan Kosic and Steffan Nero will be important for the Saints and Oscar Stubbs and Jasper Steeds are a couple to look out for on our team."
