Each club in Victoria with Women and Girls’ teams could be eligible for up to $1000 in funding for their women’s and girls’ football programs to put towards equipment and uniforms. There are two streams of eligibility for the Women in Coaching grants outlined below:  

1. Clubs with 3 or more teams that achieve a 1:1 ratio of women coaches to Women's and Girls teams will be eligible for $1000 in funding upon completing the required process. 

2. Clubs with under 3 teams that achieve a 1:1 ratio, or clubs with 4 or more teams that achieve a 1:2 ratio of women coaches to Women's and Girls teams will be eligible for $500 in funding upon completing the required process.

Follow the following steps for your club to be eligible: 

Recruit one player per team at your club to step into a coaching role this season. This includes all levels of coaching including assistant coaching positions. 

Instruct all coaches to register via play.afl and align their profile to your club. 

Ensure your coaches have all completed their Foundation Coaching Accreditation on play.afl 

Make sure all coaches appear on at least one team sheet in a coaching position in 2023. 

Submit the relevant information and team sheets via the link to apply for your club funding. Application can be completed as soon as all coaches have appeared on at least one team sheet. Funding applications will be accepted from May 1st and will be submitted via this page.
