WorkSafe Country Club series returns in 2023
WorkSafe Victoria will build on more than two decades of supporting country football with the ‘WorkSafe Country Club’ series to continue in 2023.
WorkSafe Country Club Games support country football clubs by providing them with a week of activations and experiences culminating in a traditional WorkSafe Country Club Game.
Six locations over the course of the season will host activities, starting with the Rochester v Echuca showdown at Moon Oval in Rochester on Saturday 22 April, a community that is recovering from severe flooding and damage resulting in a considerably displaced population.
Head of AFL Victoria, Ben Kavenagh, said: “The WorkSafe Country Club games put the focus on the heartbeat of country football – the clubs and people that are the foundation of the game.
“The games are also a fantastic and highly effective way to spread the message of workplace safety to the vast football community across regional Victoria.
“We are very fortunate to have such a long-standing and committed partner in WorkSafe who have done so much to support country footy in Victoria for more than two decades."
All matches will be live streamed via the AFL Victoria live streaming hub (aflvic.tv) and the Country Club Hub Facebook page (facebook.com/CountryClubHub)
