Herald Sun Shield results: Division Two Girls Semi-Finals

Maribyrnong College will take on Avila College in the Herald Sun Shield Division Two Girls Intermediate Grand Final on September 8th after both sides won through in today's 'Lightning Carnival' Semi-Finals at Casey Fields.

Four teams played off in the three round series of matches today at Casey Fields with Padua College and Mt Lilydale Mercy College also competing for the Grand Final Spot.

Wet and slippery conditions and Casey made it difficult for players at times, but Maribyrnong College emerged as the dominant team on the day going undefeated across their three games.

Avila College played in three close contests, and whilst they were defeated by Maribynong, they came out victorious against Padua and Mt Lilydale and booked themselves an exciting rematch in the Grand Final in a few weeks time.
