Funding for Warrnambool facility upgrade announced
AFL Victoria has announced a contribution of $250,000 from the Australian Football Facilities Fund towards the redevelopment of the Reid Oval in Warrnambool.
The fund supports the provision of well positioned, welcoming, accessible, fit-for-purpose football facilities that support our growing game’s strategic priorities.
This investment will allow the Warrnambool Football Netball Club and Warrnambool & District Umpires Association to expand their membership base and grow participation in players and umpiring.
In Victoria, football has invested in 70 projects to modernise community level venues to make them more female friendly since 2019 that will generate over $100M in combined development in partnership with local Councils, clubs and the Victorian Government.
