The Bulldogs have won the 2022 Energy Safe Victorian Blind Football League premiership with a remarkable 10-point triumph over St Kilda in a thrilling Grand Final on Saturday at Action Indoor Sports Tullamarine.

In a rollercoaster finish, the Bulldogs held a 16-point lead midway through the fourth quarter before the Saints stormed back with a Lachlan Kosic set shot putting them in front with just 90 seconds remaining.

The Bulldogs weren’t finished though. Oscar Stubbs kicked a brilliant snap with 40 seconds to go to miraculously regain the lead, before skipper Steve Obeid kicked the sealer with only seconds remaining, with the final result a 68-58 scoreline.

Oscar Stubbs was awarded the best-on-ground medal for his dominant performance in the midfield, with Obeid also brilliant. For the Saints, Ross Patterson was a brick wall across the half back line and Kosic provided great dash through the middle.

It was a brilliant finish to a great season of VBFL action. Congratulations to the Bulldogs who rebounded after falling short in the decider against the Saints last year.
