NAB AFL AUSKICK

NAB AFL AUSKICK IS THE AFL’S KEY INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM FOR PRIMARY-AGED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES.

During our weekly coaching program your child will learn the skills of the game through appropriately modified activities where the emphasis is on fun and having a go.

The program seeks to provide an environment where children can experience personal achievement in terms of competence, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation, maximum participation and skill development in a fun and safe environment..

AIMS:

We aim to ensure all participants have fun and make new friends whilst developing many new skills as part of Australian football and have found this is best achieved by providing a quality environment where young players can sequentially develop their skills through activities, games, match rules and conditions relative to their stage of learning and level of ability where children participate in activities which are relevant to the child’s physical, mental and emotional capabilities.

BENEFITS OF AUSKICK:

Through specially arranged activities children learn important social skills, including cooperation and respect for others.

Auskick rules are designed to ensure that participation in the game falls within the developmental philosophy of the program. Programs are planned around what children look for to make it a positive football experience. In their words to have fun with their friends, experience excitement and enjoyment, experience challenge, achievement and personal responsibility and use and improve their skills.
