Football returns for the second time at the 2019 Australian Sikh Games

Australian football is back for the 2019 Sikh Games which will be held in Melbourne from April 20.

Currently in its 32nd year, the Australian Sikh Games is the premier sporting and cultural event for the Australian Sikh community.

Held every year over three days in capital cities across the country, the Sikh Games attracts athletes and spectators from all over the world to come and participate in a wide range of traditional Indian and Australian sports and related activities.

The Sikh Games draw crowds of up to 100,000 people, with over 3,500 athletes competing in 14 different sports.

This year, 6 AFL clubs, including Melbourne, Essendon, North Melbourne, Greater Western Sydney Giants, Adelaide and St Kilda will take part in the Australian Sikh Games.

The 2019 Australian Sikh Games begins on Friday, April 19 from 10:00am – 5:30pm in Casey Fields, Cranbourne East, Victoria.
