2019 COMMUNITY AMBASSADORS

22 MAR 2019

The 2019 Community Ambassadors have been announced, with the annual Community Ambassador Induction to be held on Saturday, 23 March.

Currently in its sixth year, the AFL Community Ambassador Program brings together volunteers from diverse backgrounds to act as a conduit between the AFL and various multicultural communities.

The program provides community leaders with an official platform to become involved in the introduction and coordination of Australian football related programs in their communities, as well as opportunities for professional development.

The diverse group of volunteers play an essential role in the AFL and AFL Clubs’ projects throughout the year to help drive our game into new markets.

This year, there are 213 Community Ambassadors registered in Victoria and on Saturday, 23 March, AFL Victoria will be hosting the annual Community Ambassador Induction.

In conjunction with the Cultural Diversity Week festival, the Community Ambassador Induction will take place at the Deakin Edge room at Federation Square.

The induction gives Ambassadors the opportunity to meet with their aligned AFL club and to be informed about opportunities and projects that they can engage with throughout the year as a Community Ambassador.

A panel of Multicultural Program participants will provide the new Ambassadors with real life experiences and stories from their time in our programs
