2018 Next Coach Program

The Next Coach program is conducted by the AFL Coaches Association and AFL Players Association.

This program is not only open to AFL coaches and players, but also TAC Cup, VFL and community coaches. The program is coordinated by experienced coach David Wheadon who creates a challenging and stimulating learning environment.

To be eligible to participate in the course the following criteria will be considered:

• Genuine desire to pursue a career in coaching
• Level 2 Coaching qualification is favourably considered
• Intellectual capacity to understand coaching concepts and ideas
• Willingness to research coaching by reading documents, articles and books and watching selected videos
• Enthusiasm to commit to the course involving interactive sessions on Wednesday evenings
• Commitment… students will be expected to submit all written assignments
