An AFL Victoria Volunteer Support Officer is primarily responsible for assisting community football clubs to undertake tasks which will save current club volunteers some of the demands which they currently face.
The purpose is to decrease the workload and burden on club volunteers by decreasing the tasks they might need to do for their club.
This assistance may include:
The AFL Victoria Volunteer Support Officer team plays an increasingly important role of assisting to enhance and grow community football across all competitions.
The ideal person has some experience in community club football and understands club committee structures and roles.
You don’t need to be a footy expert! You do need to be prepared to be proactive to show community club volunteers how you can help them to make their experiences with their club more enjoyable.
These are casual roles and hours vary depending on club demands and the opportunities you can create for clubs.
