Preparation of Players

AFL player appearances are designed to encourage kids to be interested in the game and to reward parents and volunteers who commit their time and energy to promoting the game to the next generation of players.

AFL players receive extensive training on “HOW TO BE EFFECTIVE AT A CLINIC” and are taught the appropiate skill drills and communciation requirements to complement this.

AFL Players are briefed on What is expected (skill drills, interviews etc) at the clinic and utilise the SPIR (Show, Practise, Instruct & Reward) model to teach kids the skills of our great game.
